National Desks

The national desks are important vehicles to ensure a wide stakeholder participation in the project. They consist of the core group (project partners) and selected market actors (consumer organisations, NGOs, industrial consumer/producer associations, policy-makers, advisers, consultants, research institutes, financial institutions/brokers and possibly certificate issuing bodies) in each country. The involved national stakeholders will accompany the work phases and tasks, provide advice and also support the dissemination of the project results within their respective interest groups.

The national desks meet regularly, will provide input to the project activities and review progress. They are responsible for carrying out the planned national hearings.

The national desks will have following tasks:

  • initiation of a national dialogue with major national stakeholders on the relevant issues in order to put forward the debate (consultations, hearings, etc.);
  • networking;
  • organisation of 5 national hearings;
  • gathering national data and help preparing analyses for the country reports;
  • dissemination at a national level of the international debate.
