Steering Group

The Steering Group consists of 12 members who have been selected to provide a good representation of the involved countries and of institutional/ market actors and experts on renewable energy policy. The Group includes also experts from countries such as the UK and Belgium which are not represented in the consortium but whose experience (green certificates as a main RES support instrument) should been taken into consideration.
The Steering Group has advisory functions and should contribute to the project activities, providing guidelines and advices, benchmarking findings and defining the needed follow-up at given stages of the project.

The members of the steering group will play an important role in:

  • creating the link between the project partners and the major actors in the European RES arena;
  • establishing a continuous dialogue on important environmental and regulatory aspects;
  • supporting the dissemination of the project´s results within their respective organisations and
  • advising the consortium on specific technical issues in their competence field.

The Steering Group will meet three times during the project lifetime and take part to planned events such as workshops and conferences.

The first joint REALISE project meeting with the Steering Group took place on the 26th- 27th of September 2005 in Salzburg (Austria) at Schloss Leopoldskron.

The second joint REALISE project meeting with the Steering Group has taken place on August 31 to September 1, 2006, at the same venue.
