REALISE FORUM

National Desk - Slovenia

The Slovenian desk is composed by representatives of the main electricity producer HSE, network operators, a company for small hydro plants, the Energy Agency, the Regulatory Authority, the designated agency for certification of origin (AGEN-RS), the consumers’ organisation and the government.

The activities of the Slovenian desk concentrates on the discussion of following issues:

  • Comparison of RES-E support schemes,
  • Relationship between RES-E and the environment (is "renewable" = "green"?),
  • A renewable strategy for Slovenia (realistic potentials for hydro, wind, biomass centralised vs. decentralised solutions),
  • Current and future support schemes for "green electricity" and EU directive.

On May 26, 2005, the first meeting of the country desk was organised.

A mailing list of major stakeholders has been composed, and REALISE-Forum has been presented at conferences and meetings.

On September 20, 2006, the second meeting of the country desk was organised.

The focus of the conference were the perspectives of generation of RES-E in Slovenia within the context of harmonisation of the support mechanism at the european level.

Since the beginning of 2006 standardised questionaires were sent to RES-E/qualified producers, market regulators and to environment and nature protection NGOs.
