The School of Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary University of London and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) are co-hosting a lunchtime session on ‘Fighting corruption in the Western Balkans: The role of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA)’. The event will be held on 5 June 2015 at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London.

The panel discussion will explore the progress and challenges in combating corruption in the Western Balkans and the successful achievements brought about by the EU’s Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance. Mr Christopher Will from the German federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ), Dr Jan-Hinrik Meyer-Sahling from the School of Politics & International Relations at the University of Nottingham, and Mr Henk Visser from DG NEAR will be making presentations and answering questions. 

The event will conclude with a networking lunch to which all participants are invited.
