MAXCAP Partner Adam Fagan invited to the UK House of Lords to give evidence about EU policy in the Western Balkans

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, presented an assessment of the global security environment to the European Council in June 2015. The European Council asked the High Representative to 'continue the process of strategic reflection with a view to preparing an EU global strategy on foreign and security policy in close cooperation with Member States, to be submitted to the European Council by June 2016'.

The UK House of Lords EU External Affairs Sub-Committee is undertaking a strategic review of EU policy in order to contribute to this process of developing the EU Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy. MAXCAP partner Prof. Adam Fagan (Queen Mary University of London/LSE), along with Dr James Ker-Lindsay (LSE) and Matthew Rojansky (Kennan Institute, Wilson Center), have been invited by the House of Lords to provide evidence to the Sub-Committee on 5 November 2015 about EU policy in the eastern neighbourhood, focusing on the Western Balkans in particular.

A video of the evidence session is uploaded on the Parliament website.
