Following up on the Third Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius at the end of November, the MAXCAP Partner Institution Freie Universität Berlin is organizing a policy briefing on the conclusions and lessons of the summit in Berlin on December 3, 2013.
Under the heading “EASTERN PARTNERSHIP: Too little, too late?", the MAXCAP policy briefing will analyze the summit’s conclusions in light of the objectives of the 2011 Second Eastern Partnership Summit as well as inquire into the differential outcomes among the respective countries and policy fields. In this context, it will also address the impact of the Union’s renewed ENP strategy and ask about the need for readjustments.

The policy briefing will feature Kakha Gogolashvili (Director of the Centre of EU Studies at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies), David Gudisch (European Directorate-General at the Federal Foreign Office), Klaudijus Maniokas (Chairman of ESTEP and MAXCAP Advisory Board Member), and Nelli Babayan (Center for Transnational Studies - Foreign and Security Policy (ATASP)). The discussion will be moderated by Tanja A. Börzel (MAXCAP Coordinator - Freie Universität Berlin).
A special welcome address will be given by H.E. Deividas Matulionis, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania.
