In this section we apply principal component analysis (PCA) to a real life data set. The goal is to reduce the dimensions of the dwd data set by applying PCA.

In the subsequent sections the result of PCA will be we used to build a logistic regression model to predict the occurrence of hot days at any particular weather station in Germany.
