To gain intuition for any data set, it can be described by numerical summary measures. There are three main measures of central tendency: the mean, the median and the mode. However, there are other measures of central tendency too, such as the harmonic mean, the weighted mean and the geometric mean. We will look into the definitions and applications of these on the following pages.
