Processes involving deviations from lithostatic pressure
I have been interested in quantifying the mechanical effects of volume changes during mineral reactions. It is an effect that theoretically should be there because mineral reactions almost never have a zero volume change. However, how long these pressure variations remain, how large they are, if they will be recorded, is largely unknown.
