Reactive fluid flow, mass transport and deformation in metamorphic rocks
Metamorphic rocks often record many different processes. Textures and mineral-analyses testify of processes of fluid flow, mass transport by diffusion or advection, reactions and deformation. To take advantage of this rich history of a rock, it is needed to unravel the sequence of processes and events that led to the final state as one can observe it now under the microscope. To do this, it is very helpful to know what physical processes may cause certain textures and mineral-reactions and chemical distribution.
