The Helios 44-2 is the standard lens of the Fotosniper FS-3. With its widest aperture of 2.0 (up to 16) and its 58mm it is quite usable, though handling is a bit clumsy. The fact that the Zenit ES does not allow the usage of automatic M42 lenses, you have to close the diaphragm with a seperate ring each time before you take a picture. If you forget it - your problem! The picture will be taken with 2.0...

This Helios 44-2 was produced by Valdai optical-mechanics plant, it is coated (perhaps not multicoated) and has an M42 screw mount. The closest distace is 0.5 meter.
