PSYCHNEWS NEWS
==============
Almost a year has passed since the last PsychNews issue
was released. For many of our subscribers, this will
be the first issue and we hope you enjoy it. It presents
you a massive amount of information -- and hopefully your
mailboxes can accomodate it. If not, please consider using
the index function (send "help" without the parentheses to
listserv@lists.apa.org) or subscribe to our table-of-
contents-only version that we are installing at the
moment. But this is not the only change:

* new websites (see below),
* new mailserver,
* new staff and looking for more,
* emphasizing international contributions starting with 6(2),
* more interaction with our readers.

In this vein, we would like to thank the American Psychological
Association for hosting the PsychNews and extend our gratitude
to past and present University of North Dakota people,
particularly to Dr. Joe Plaud and Marty Hoag for most reliable
and friendly support to keep the PsychNews going for years.
Special thanks also to Dr. John Grohol for hosting the PsychNews
web archives many years as our reference site.

Lastly, we would like to thank our long-time subscribers for
their patience and loyalty and welcome new PsychNews readers.
We have started in 1994, we all worked without pay, but we feel
well compensated by your positive feedback. As long as we have
that reward, PsychNews will stay with you for a long time.
