F. trance
   ======

Trance theory discussion

The trance list was started to discuss Dennis Wier's
trance theory which includes these types of trances:
meditation, hypnotic, addictive, and centric or
charismatic trance.

Discussion including questions about creating,
terminating and analyzing trance from this specific
theoretical point of view is welcome. Cults, hypnotic
theory, compulsive behaviors, shamanistic, magic and
occult trances are also likely to be discussed.

The purpose of the list is to distinguish and clarify
differences between trance theory and other theories of
consciousness and to develop practical research ideas
based on these differences.

Cognitive behavioral and research psychologists as well
as those with practical experience in trance (by
whatever definition) are encouraged to participate.

The Psy Broadcasting Corporation (PsyBC) is proud to
announce that it has been designated by the APA as an
approved sponsor for continuing education credits for
psychologists.

PsyBC is an internet-based broadcasting service that
produces "standing panels" of experts who select and
