   =====

ONLINE PANELS for Mental Health Professionals

PsyBC is a new internet-based service that produces
educationally oriented programs for mental
health professionals. The first set of programs consist of
"standing panels" of experts who will be selecting and
discussing what they consider to be the best and most
controversial of the current literature in their
topic area. The panel discussions will take place via
email with each panelist making multiple contributions per
week. Subscribers will receive the broadcasts to their
email boxes as the panelists' conversations unfold.

Subscribers will have the choice to interact with other
subscribers or simply receive the comments of the
panelists. Subscribers will also have the opportunity to
submit questions and comments which may be responded
to by panelists. Authors of the journal articles or books
being discussed will be invited to join the discussion
when possible.

Beginning November
1, 1996. All you need to receive the broadcasts is email.

C. References Manager 1.5
   ======================

References Manager is an Macintosh application to
assist you in managing your references to information
objects, for example, papers or books you have read
and want to remember or cite in one of your own papers,
or URL's.

References Manager simply allows you to catalogue
various details about each information object for
later retrieval. It will uniquely identify each object
with its own reference number so you can file the
object, if in paper form, for subsequent retrieval.
For electronic objects, including Web-based objects,
it can record where the object is stored and then
open it at a later date.

What can you record? Well, the title, author(s),
publication details and abstract of any item, as well as
keywords for each object to classify it in various ways,
and a space for writing those phrases or points that you
found really interesting and would like to remember.

References Manager may also be used to manage your list
of URL's. Any references manager card can contain a URL.
All URL's stored in the Publication, Keywords, Abstract
and Assertion fields will be grouped and if clicked will
send an openURL apple event to Netscape
Navigator. The contents of the URL will
be displayed in the Netscape browser window. In this
version, URL's are identified with the strings in the
URL Types field on the Preferences card
and end with one of the characters in the URL
Endings field or the return
character.

References Manager has extensive balloon help on each
object.
