The
Fourth CEL / ELC Conference The Role of Languages
in the European Higher Education Area was held
at the Handelshøjskolen i Århus (DK) on
26 - 28 June 2003.
The
Conseil Européen pour les Langues / European
Language Council is pleased to announce the launch of
its own model of the Council of Europe’s European
Language Portfolio (ELP), specifically designed
for the higher education sector.

to the European Commission's Consultation Document "Promoting
language learning and linguistic diversity" is now
available.
The
draft Berlin Declaration Language Studies in Higher
Education: A key contribution to European integration,
issued by the Scientific Committee that prepared the European
Year of Languages 2001 Conference Multilingualism and
New Learning Environments (Freie Universität
Berlin, 28 - 30 June 2001), is now available for download.
The English
version, the French
version and the German
version of the Declaration are now available.
