Some words of apology are necessary at the very beginning of this review. Due to the primary distribution medium of this text, virtually all diacritical marks used in Mongolian, Oirat, Sanskrit and Tibetan terms reproduced here are lost. They are, however, meticulously employed throughout the original text making reading it a genuine pleasure revealing that the proceedings were edited with care and devotion.
More or less exclusive attention is paid in this review to articles related to Mongolia. This only reveals the reviewer's ignorance in the field of Buddhist studies and has no implication to the quality of the other articles.
