Description:
While by now, it has become rather simple to modify the Microsoft FS 9 Scenery, as far as navaids are concerned, this is not quite so easy with the Flight Sim Commander (FSC) Scenery, because only part of the data for FSC is read from the Flight Simulator, while another part of it is provided by Navigraph by means of their AIRAC cycles. Following the philosophy of the FSC handbook, changing parameters in this database might be a rather objectionable operation, since only the original output of Navigraph constitutes the real world situation - on the other hand, there might exist users who like to model at least part of their surroundings according to their own perspectives. This package might help those persons to fulfill their expectations. It must be emphasized however, that the analysis, which is the foundation of this package, does not rely on informations by authorized persons; hence there might be errors in some of the statements contained therein. It should also be made clear that - as the analysis is the result of own hypotheses - for that reason any commercial use of the results is not permitted.
The package consists of different parts:
* The main file is the FSC Scenery Modification and Listing program <modfsc.exe>,

* The tutorial <Modifying MS Flight Simulator 9 and Flight Sim Commander 8 Sceneries> presents an example how to modify the scenery in order to add navaids to the existing sim-world of FS9 and FSC 8,

* The files <vor_fsc.xls> and <ndb_fsc.xls> are examples of list-dumps of data files from the database provided by Navigraph in a current cycle, enriched by navaids created with the main file (after having converted the resulting textfiles <vor.fsc.txt> and <ndb.fsc.txt>to EXCEL table files).

Installation:
Unzip <modfsc.exe> into any directory and run it from there. It does not alter or delete any existing file. After having run <modfsc.exe>, you have to exchange the original <*.fsc> file(s) in the Database folder of FSC with the file(s) <*.fsc.new>, which are created by the <modfsc.exe> program. At that time, of course, you should back up the original file(s), in case that you later want to reset the scenery to its original values.

Disclaimer:
The program is freeware. The author declines any responsibility for damages which might occur when running the program.
Comments aud critical remarks are welcome.
