Lesson 2: Adding an extra boot menu to the Nokia N810

Today a came across a nice extra feature for the Nokia N810 on golem. In a post on some Nokia OS updates Sciencefrickltion told me about hidden extra entries in the boot menu. Screenshot Nokia N810 with systemui.xml before modification Just edit
/etc/systemui/systemui.xml
as root (!) and uncomment the entry for
<menu item priority="20" name="reboot">,
reboot and that's it. The file is a XML-file and comments in XML start with <!-- and end with -->. Screenshot Nokia N810 with systemui.xml after modification

Screenshot Nokia N810 with extended menu And there we have it: a nice extended boot menu on the Nokia N810. You might want to edit the names of the menu entries if your language setting is not English.
