There are three airports in Berlin: Tegel (TXL), Schönefeld (SXF),

Schönefeld. Both airports can be reached by public transportation.
From Tegel Airport, take the Airport Express Bus X9 to Station
Zoologischer Garten, locally also known as Station "Zoo" (Bahnhof
Zoo). From Schönefeld Airport, take the metropolitan train (S-Bahn,
marked by green "S" signs) S 9 to Station Zoologischer Garten. From
Station Zoo, you can either take a taxi or use public transportation
to get to your hotel. The section on
hotel information below explains about how to get to each hotel
from Station Zoo.
Arriving by train:
All trains arrive or stop at Station Zoologischer Garten, locally
also known as Station "Zoo" (Bahnhof Zoo). From Station Zoo, either
take a taxi or use public transportation to get to your hotel. The
section on hotel information below explains about how to get to each
hotel from Station Zoo.
How to get to the conference venue:
If you travel by public transportation, take either the subway train
no. 1 (U-Bahn in German, marked by blue "U" signs), or bus no. 110.
Exit at the station "Thielplatz", which is just a few meters from
the
Henry Ford Building.
Once you arrive at Thielplatz station on 5 December, there will be
signs guiding you from the subway/bus station to the conference
location.
You will also find details on transportation specific to your hotel
in our hotel information below.
Conference schedule and
format

this website. The registration desk will open on Friday, 5 December
at 8.00 a.m. The conference begins at 9.00 a.m. and will end on
Saturday, 6 December at 6.30 p.m. We will have both plenary and
panel sessions. Panels will last 105 minutes each. Most panels will
consist of three presentations, followed by a discussion.
Submission

We encourage presenters to submit their papers in advance to post
them on the conference website. If you do not wish to submit your

How is the weather?
Temperatures are rather low in December, quite often as low as
between 0°C and 5°C (between 32°F and 41°F). Snowfall in early
December is quite unlikely, but still a hypothesis with some degree
of plausibility that has been verified at times in the past.
