Research
I am a philosopher who is interested in the influence of computation on science and society and the applicability of mathematics. I have conducted an extensive study on the influence of computer based simulation on science, in particular in climate research (2002 - 2008) and cell biology (2009 - 2014).

Current Position and Activities
I have finished my habilitation on philosophy of applied mathematics at the Department of Social Sciences and History of the Technical University Darmstadt in 2015, where I am teaching philosophy as Privatdozentin. »Homepage TU Darmstadt (german, external link)

In addition I hold a permanent fellowship at the DFG Institute of Advanced Studies on "Media Cultures of Computer Simulation (MECS)" at the Leuphana University Luneburg. »Homepage MECS Luneburg (german, external link),

Member of the DFG-Network "Affect- and Psychotechnology Studies" (Leuphana University Luneburg (PI: Niklas Schrape in cooperation with Bernd Boesel), University of Potsdam, University of Vienna, University of Paderborn, Technical University Darmstadt, 2015-2017)

Member of the Swiss-German Research Group "Computersignale. Kunst und Biologie im Zeitalter ihres digitalen Experimentierens" (ZHdK Zurich (PI: Hannes Rickli), University of Lucerne, Academy of Science Berlin, 2012-2016)

Alumni of the FU Berlin since 2014, where I have received my PhD in philosophy in 2001, have worked from 2004 to 2012 and teached from 2006 to 2014. Since 2015 I am a member of the Ernst-Reuter-Gesellschaft (ERG), which supports the FU Berlin.
